FAQs

You can submit a dispute. We will investigate the issue and make necessary fund transfer to your account if the case is in your favor. We advise our users to communicate on our platform so we have proof and evidences to investigate if there is a dispute. 

You can bid as long as you credit is available. You can check your bidding credit by going to your dashboard and look for the right side widget that shows “Current Plan“. The “Project Credits” indicates how many bid you can place.

Overview

Below diagram shows the high level process flow of how Freelancer and Employer interacts from the perspective of Freelancer.

Freelancers can generate income in two ways:
  1. Offering Services: Freelancers can post services based on their expertise. For example, if a Freelancer is a graphic designer, they can offer a logo design service. Employers can then purchase this service, and the Freelancer receives payment.
  2. Working on Projects: Freelancers can also earn by working on projects posted by Employers. They submit proposals for projects that match their skills, and the Employer selects the winning proposal. The Freelancer is then notified and can begin working on the project.
Scenario Example Aishah is a graphic designer who wants to offer her services. She registers on our website as a Freelancer and posts a service titled “Professional Logo Design Service.”
  1. An Employer who needs a logo design purchases her service.
  2. Aishah is notified of the purchase, communicates with the Employer to understand the requirements, and begins work.
  3. Once the project is completed, Aishah notifies the Employer, and the deal is closed.
  4. We then process the payment on behalf of the Employer and transfer it to Aishah.
This simple flow enables Freelancers to earn through both service offerings and project work.

Dashboard

Below is the Freelancer dashboard.

  1. Top Menu – Top navigation menu with alert messages box

  3. Left Menu – Main navigation menu where all the actions take place
  4. Current Package – Show current package for freelancer

Menu

The left menu is where most of the actions take place. In this guide we will look at 4 menus which you will use the most.

  1. Manage Services – This menu allows you to manage your services. As a Freelancer, you offer your skills by posting services at a certain price. Employer who is looking for such service will purchase your service and pay for it.
  2. Manage Projects – This menu allows you to see project you are currently working. You send proposals for project posted by Employers. If you are selected as a winner, you view the project details here. 
  3. My Proposal – This menu allows you to see proposal submitted for projects that you are interested on. 
  4. Project Offers – This menu allows you to see the proposal send by Employer on your project.
  5. Payouts – This menu allows you to withdraw money from your wallet.
  6. Fund Deposits & Invoices – This menu allows you to add money or withdraw money from your wallet.

Credits

Credits allow you to do something like posting services. These credits come with a package. During the sign up process, you are given a package with certain credits.  The amount of credits depending on the package assigned during the sign up time. If you sign up during a promotion period, you will get a better package with more credits.

Below are the credits you get from a package after signing up. Depending when sign up, the credits you get may be different. The credits are shown on the panel title “CURRENT PLAN DETAIL“.

  1. Project Credits – Shows the number of project you can bid and send your proposal. In this example, you have 30 projects to bid on.
  2. Service Allowed – Number of services you can post. In this example, you can post 2 services.
  3. Service Expiry – This is the number of days your posted service will expire. Once expired, the service is no longer display on our website.
  4. Featured Service – Show how many service(s) can have a featured banner display along side it. In this example, you can select one service to have a featured banner. Featured banner will attract more attention.
  5. Featured Service Expiry – Show the number of days the service will have a featured banner display along side it. In this case, it is 90 days. After 90 days, the banner is remove automatically but your service is still displayed.
  6. Bump Up Service – This allow you to push up your service which means it date and time will be updated to the current date/time. This is used for the service which is about to expire and reset it date/time.
  7. Featured Profile – Whether your profile shown on our website will have a banner to grab more attention.
  8. Package Expiry – This is the most important parameter to look at. It shows when the package will expire. Once package expired, you are no longer able to submit new service or bid on a project.

If you click on the “View Plans” link, it will show the package available for Freelancer to purchase. This purchase will add credits to your current plan.

Packages

Freelancer package allows you to add credits to your current plan. You can purchase this package anytime and credits from this package will be added to your current credits. You can view the Freelancer Packages.

Below is the snapshot of the package. The price and credits on each package may not be the same as we adjust the  package price and credits regularly.

Wallet

Wallet is a way for Freelancer to receive money from Employer. Initially you have zero amount in your wallet. You can still post services at this time as long as you have the credits. As you are working on projects or services, the money will be accumulated in your wallet once projects or services are completed. You can withdraw the money with minimum withdrawal amount of MYR100 (the amount may change subject to our regular review). We also charge MYR5 for processing fee.
You can view your earnings from the top menu dashboard and also from the “Statement” menu on the left.

Payout

The Payout menu allows you to request payout from your wallet. Your wallet should have at least MYR100 to request for payout. The money will be transfer to you PayPal or Bank account within 14 working days after receiving your request.

Dispute

If a disagreement arises between you and the Employer, you have the option to initiate a dispute. A dispute allows for the termination of the working agreement between you and the Employer. As a neutral mediator, we will thoroughly investigate the issue based on the evidence provided by both parties. It is crucial to use our built-in chat system for communication, as this will provide us with first-hand evidence of the interactions throughout the project. For example, an Employer posts a project worth MYR100. As a Freelancer, you submit a proposal, and the Employer selects you as the winner and hires you. The funds are then deducted from the Employer’s wallet and held in escrow by us. If a disagreement occurs, you can create a dispute. After reviewing the evidence, if we determine that you are in the right, the funds will be transferred to your account. In this case, MYR100 (minus the admin commission) will be credited to your wallet. Both you and the Employer will receive notifications regarding the outcome of the dispute.
